Grey’s

If you’re a fan, you know what’s been going down.  My mom says that the show “jumped the shark.”  However, all of my friends (and myself) love the show and can’t wait to see what happens next.  The past three episodes have left me full of anxiety awaiting the resolution.  I actually haven’t been able to make it through an episode this season without crying.

People who don’t know have called it a soap opera, but the characters are way too developed and complex to be a soap opera.  The show is artistic, using great music, great camera angles, and I really like it.  There are other shows like Lost that are good, but they don’t leave me wanting more the way Grey’s Anatomy does.

So, are you a Grey’s fan?  What did you think about the latest episodes?  Or, could you care less?  What are your thoughts?

Pictures

Here are some pictures of the church before it was completed!

Before it was done.
Before it was done, 2.

And here are some pictures of the completed church! The auditorium 2!

The stairs!

More happy people!
I really like this last one, because this is the real church, and now they have a permanent home!

Blessed!

I have been so amazingly blessed to be a part of two churches moving into homes in the past month!

First: my home church, The Journey! I love this church. The people are so inviting and so invested. Everyone put in effort to get this home ready. And I mean everyone! I got to go and help out once, and almost a month after that I got to see the finished product. It looks gorgeous, and the church really united to make it a welcoming place that everyone could experience the love of God in.

Second: my other home church, New Life! The story behind this building is an amazing one. Long story short, if you are a church in Ann Arbor, there will be lots and lots and lots and lots of road blocks in your way. But God provided, and there is no doubt that this building was from God because of how He provided!

After years and years and years of using the university’s property (and having to deal with the university), raising the money (still in the process of that, too), finding the building (an old sorority house), dealing with the city (they denied us at first, then the church fought back), dealing with the city again (getting more things approved), dealing with contractors (they were slow, we broke ground last year in the fall), etc, etc, etc, God came through for so many people and it all culminated last night! We had a concert to dedicate the church, and for 3 and a half hours, we sang at the top of our lungs shouting praises to God, because there’s no way this would have happened if it weren’t for Him!

Two stories of hope, manifested so the entire world can see what God can do through people of faith. They are both beautiful, they are both special, they are both really EXCITING!

God is great! I wish there were a better term to describe how amazingly great God really is, but He knows how much my heart is dancing right now and that’s all that matters!

Brrrrrrrr

Weather.com just said that it was -9 right now.

I don’t want to ever leave my room…….

But classes at U of M will never be cancelled, or should never be cancelled.
